What a stupid post. Bad grammar and pure non sense.
Robert “Gεσяɢε” Alexander13.02.2016, 21:36
Plus Nexuses don't even have 4k displays. This is a post made by some 7 years old kid. A Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge or a Sony Xperia Z5 beats by far any Nexus on the market.

Undecided which is worse, the content or the writing/grammar.
Matthew Bell13.02.2016, 23:45
Robert Alexander The correct grammar is "Nexi". Plus just because something has 4k does not make it better.

The best device for me is the one that does what I need and does not cost a fortune. It's all about choice.+1

Matthew Bell Dropping a 'us' and changing to an 'i' to make a word plural is Latin grammar, or in English, within science, but not 'common'. If it were common, or general we would have mouse/mousi. And even if the Latin/science rules applied, then we would be talking about what do to with our Nexum/Nexa(a tablet is neither masculine or feminine, and so we would use the neuter singular -um plural -a. Yes, I'm this bored....

Dropbox or google drive maybe?
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
Data as in app data, or files/folders? Files/folders: 1.Put it in an SD adapter then into a computer with an SD card slot. 2.Get an OTG USB cable, copy it over with a file manager. 3.Download your phones USB drivers, copy to computer. 4. WiFi/LAN copy to a shared folder ona computer. 5. FTP the files to a server. 6. Copy to Google drive/Dropbox/Onebox.

Christian Concannon hey can you walk me through getting over to a laptop via wifi?
Wil Cook16.03.2016, 05:15
getting the folders and stuff over
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
On the laptop, select a folder, right click/properties. Advanced sharing button. Check 'share this folder'. Near bottom, click 'permissions'. Top box where it says 'group or users', select 'everyone'. Bottom box check boxes for 'allow' on 'full control'. That's it on the laptop side.
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
Now that folder will be shared on your network, with full read/write for any user or computer/phone/tablet.
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
On you phone you'll need a file manager that can do LAN. Es file explorer, fx file explorer, solid explorer, there's a few, not hard to find one. On store.
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
Phone on WiFi. Open file manager app. Each app is different, but there will be an option somewhere to add a LAN and/or windows SMB connection. Es and fx file explorers will scan your network for shared folders.
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
Once it finds the shared folder, simple copy/paste from SD to shared folder on laptop.
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
My explanation was very condensed, but covers the basics.
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
There can be some obstacles, depending g on laptops firewall/antivirus. You should be able to find how to share folders on a LAN in Windows on YouTube real easy.
Christian Concannon16.03.2016, 05:15
Same with how to use whatever file manager app you choose. Search YouTube videos.
Wil Cook16.03.2016, 05:15
Christian Concannon cool thanks!

Once you upgrade, repeat steps on the phone and copy/paste from laptop folder back to phone. For security, wouldn't be a bad idea to undo folder shares on laptop once everything is back on the phone. Before deleting anything, verify what you wanted was copied, both to the laptop, than, later back to the phone. Always double check your files/folders before any steps that will alter/delete them.
